IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SPOKES!
All spokes are made as exact as possible to OEM specifications and are sold as replacement spokes. Some spokes may have a slightly different length, bend or angle but when assembled they will fit correctly in your wheel.
It’s highly recommended that you double check the lengths and quantity before ordering. The previous owner may have changed the size of the rim, the complete wheel to another brand or an aftermarket wheel. All our spoke sets are replacement spokes for OEM hub and rim size.
CC Spoke
CC Products spokes are the strongest in the world and all spokes are made of Swedish stainless steel spokes wire and has a tensile strength of 1250 N/mm2 and a yield strength of 1450 N/mm2!
Nickel plated or zinc plated steel spoke nipples are included in the price of a spoke or a spoke set.
CC Spoke Nipples
All spoke nipples supplied in the spoke sets are made of nickel plated steel but you can replace them with spoke nipples in brass or aluminum. The size of the spoke nipples used in the spoke sets are mentioned in each article. Depending on the rim that will be used in the wheel, it may be necessary to change the spoke nipples to a different size. If you want to avoid rust on the nipples, you should use spoke nipples in nickel plated brass or aluminum.
Measure the round part of the spoke nipple or the spoke nipple holes in the rim and check with the size that is standard in the spoke set you want to buy. You may need to order a different size of spoke nipples.
NOTE! Never use oil, grease or other lubricants when assembling of new spokes, if so the spokes will loosen very easy. We recommend that you apply a drop of Loctite 222 or equivalent to the threads before assembly. Loctite 222 is a vibration safe low strength threadlocker that allows adjustment and the nipples can easily be tensioned with a spoke key.
The thread lock fills the threads and prevents dirt and water from entering the threads and they do not seize as easily. The threadlock makes the nipples work longer and you get a longer lifespan on your wheel.
